Icon made on the basis of the image of Our Lady of Kodeń - originally a painting located in the papal chapel - made on the basis of sculpture. In 1630 - he stole it and brought it to the Polish lands, Prince Mikołaj Sapiecha. On August 15, 1723, the painting was crowned third, after the Mother of God of Częstochowa and Trotsky, a papal image in Poland.
