Description
A feast in honor of the great venerables was already established in Constantinople in 1084. Legend has it that these bishops argued over which of them is better and more dignified. Then the metropolitan called Jan had a vision that they should be seen as equals and that a holiday should be established for them. These saints are still called the Angels of the World, Heavenly People, Columns of Truth and Faith and the Wisest Soul's Faintest Doctors during the mass of 30 January.
